The standard we hold ourselves to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, which is the conformance level required for websites under Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Where practical, we build toward the newer WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 guidelines as well.

What that means in practice

We test with a combination of automated tools and real manual checks, because automated scanners only catch a portion of accessibility issues. Our reviews include keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader testing, colour-contrast checks, meaningful alternative text for images, logical heading structure, and clear focus states.

Accessibility is ongoing

Accessibility is not a one-and-done task. Content, features, and standards change over time, so we treat accessibility as continuous work and revisit it as our site and products evolve.
