SHORT ANSWER

Automated scanners catch only 30-40% of WCAG issues. They confirm contrast, missing alt attributes, and form labels, but they cannot tell you whether your alt text is meaningful, whether focus order is logical, or whether a screen-reader user can actually finish a task. A page can score 100 in Lighthouse and still fail a real person.

That gap is exactly why a certified human matters. We respect the tools as a necessary first pass, then do the manual testing that a credible AODA audit requires.

Your accessibility obligation follows your organization, not your platform or the agency that built your site. Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, and WordPress themes make no binding AODA guarantee, and an "accessible-ready" template does not make your published site compliant, because your content, images, colours, and configuration all affect the outcome.

We also stay away from the overlay widgets (accessiBe, UserWay) that the accessibility community considers inadequate. A widget bolted on top is not an audit and it does not make your site compliant. We do real remediation on the actual code, and we document it, so you have proof of the work.

Beyond the website, AODA also requires an accessibility policy, a multi-year plan, and staff training. We can help with those too.
